2017 Summer Vacation – The Beach

This year the we were able to go to the Beach almost every day.  We missed Monday because we were “Eclipsing”, lol.

We had one windy day.  Some families made a vow to not take down their umbrella, lol.

We had a lot of dolphin sightings.  One day while we were swimming and jumping waves the dolphins were doing the same.  Jumping high in the air over the waves.  It was an amazing thing to watch.  Of course, I didn’t have my camera on me.  The best I got all week of these wonderful creatures are these:

They kind of look like sharks, lol.

I took over a thousand pictures during the course of this vacation.  I really think I could have taking a thousand more.

I even got to do some of this on the beach…

The Beach isn’t only for the daytime.  Friday nights they have a fireworks display that can be seen anywhere on the beach.

The Beach is Magical…especially at night 🙂

His Name is Potter, Harry Potter

This summer I decided I was going to read all 7 of the Harry Potter books.  So far with the summer mostly waned I’ve just started book four.  My issue is I’m not one to read the same author back to back.  If found in the past they tend to host the same format and then the books become stale and I’m then not too keen on the author any longer.  I did that with John Saul, Mary Higgins Clark, John Grisham and Nicholas Sparks.  The one author I found had completely different stories was Michael Crichton…he have a couple of serials like the Jurrasic Park books but his other books were all off the place in reference to the topics.  He’s definitely worth reading.

I’ve got so many books I want to read but not enough time to get them all in.  That’s where vacation comes in.  I’m looking forward to sitting my bum on the beach and just reading.  In fact on of the books I’ve chosen to take with me has the world Beach in it.  Which of course is the only reason I purchased it in the first place.  I hope it’s a good one 😉

Well…back to Mr. P and see adventure he is going on…when I last left the young scamp he was at the Quidditch World Cup.

Summer Reading

I really thought I’d be through a ton of summer reading by now but unfortunately I’ve had very little time to read which makes me something-something.  My goal was to read the Harry Potter series and as of today I’m going on to book three.  Let’s face it the first three books are small…Book four…that’s another story, lol.

Right now I’m reading the second in the Pretty Little Liars series.  I know that this is a book for teens but it is one of the best mysteries I’ve read in a while and the setting takes place in my IRL part of the globe so I find that interesting as well.  It was a fluke that I read the first one and then I got hooked.

Vacation is coming up so if you see me on the beach and I don’t wave back…its because my face will be buried in a book.  I apologize in advance  🙂
