Spring – It’s For The Birds

I love April.  It’s the best time to bird watch.  I’m not particularly into Ornithology but I love the colors of the birds.  All of the colors of the birds shine out in contrast to the browns and grays of winter.

I’m going back to this location next week to see what other birds are in town.  Ahhhhhh…..SPRING!

My Panties Are In A Twist

I was reading that The Crown is re-casting the leads to different actors.  Claire Foy, Matt Smith and Vanessa Kirby were perfectly cast as the Queen, Prince Phillip and Princes Margaret so why in heaven would anyone mess with that?

Aging the characters isn’t a good enough excuse.  Have the producers ever heard of makeup?  I’m really having a snit over all of this and I know it’s stupid but seriously why mess with what works?  Not sure I will continue watching this Netflix original.  I feel as though this will mess with continuity and really…not interested in that!

His Name was Benji

I’m still not sure why they give these storms names but  they do.  The weekend we got hit with Winter storm Benji.   I’m not sure where the first storm named Aiden hit but I missed it all together, lol.

No matter the name I did enjoy this snow.  Just enough to play in and just enough not to have to shovel much.  Win-Win as far as I’m concerned.   It makes me think there is an opportunity for a White Christmas to add to the seasonal fun.  Last year it was warm and the year before that we were in the 70’s.  Oh, that myth called Global Warming…you’re a hoot.

Oh Halloween…I Miss You Already

The First.  Everything is the First in our new home.  This time it was the first Halloween.

We didn’t get many Trick-or-Treaters but I managed to have a great time.

There he goes our first Trick-or-Treater.  He was a little guy dressed as Batman.  His Dad was enjoying the Trick-or-Treating too.   He was so cute!  Batman, by the way, is the best Halloween Costume ever!

It was pretty cold outside and the moon shone crisp in the evening sky.  In short, it was perfect!  Next on our Holiday Hit Parade is Thanksgiving.  This weekend I will switch out the decorations.  I can’t wait.  To have our own home is beyond thrilling for me.  I’m like a lucky Trick-or-Treater who just got the full size candy bar!

Life is good 🙂

2017 Summer Vacation – The People of the Beach

Vacations are a time for people to relax.  A time to share each others lives and sometimes it’s a time to just be still.  Here are some of those moments.

I give you The People of the Crest Beach.

I can’t help it…I love it in Wildwood Crest.  I can’t wait until next year to see some of these same faces and maybe some new ones.

Until then…I will be dreaming of seeing this sign as I enter my Happy Place away from home.

2017 Summer Vacation – I Put My Face in Stuff

I think the header is self-explanatory, lol.

Yes I’m weird but I’m really okay with it.  More importantly my wife is okay with it, lol.

2017 Summer Vacation – A Solar Eclipse and a Rainbow

Like most of our Vacations through out of the years there have been anomalies that have happened.  We’ve gone through 2 Hurricanes (Irene/Hermine), an Earthquake and now a Solar Eclipse.

Friends of ours had the “viewers” to watch the eclipse.  He took one picture thru the lens of the viewer.  The result was super exciting!  The other picture was me just pointing my camera at the sky while not looking directly at the sun, lol.  I actually caught something!

Ollie and I were ready for the big event!

The Eclipse was on Monday.  On Wednesday, we had a brief shower that produced a beautiful Rainbow.  I considered these events to be just an added bonus!  What is great is this time it was a major disaster happening, lol.  Yay for Rainbows…and unicorns, of course.
