Toby…Ya Got Me!

Yesterday a nor’easter named Toby hit our little burg.  He wasn’t too bad.  Enough for a snow day at home but not so evil as to be extremely heavy wet snow.

I was giving my dramatic reaction to Hurricane Schwartz’s SNOMAGEDDON!!

We shoveled out last night about 9 pm.  It was still snowing but we wanted a fighting chance for the morning commute.  The car wasn’t too covered this morning.  It was about another 3/4″ to clear off.

Puppy was wondering where is this elusive Spring she kept hearing about.  She is not much of a lover of precipitation in general, lol.

We have some really neat homes near us.  This is one of my favorite to take pictures of in the seasons.  It is like a Thomas Kincaid painting when it snows.  We survived our 4th nor’easter this winter/spring.  Yay us!

A Beautiful Weekend

What an amazing weekend.  I’m tired but it was worth it.  The sun was shining, it was warm (86 degrees) and very low humidity!  Hurrah!  Our friends let us use their pool this weekend while they were away so that just added to the greatness of the weekend 🙂

I got to finish the book I was reading and start a new one.  It is turning into the summer of “Murder, She Wrote”, lol.  I enjoy Jessica Fletcher…it’s a weakness 🙂

Millie and Tara enjoyed the sun pool side too.  Tara’s not a fan of the water (or any water for that matter) but they both had a quick dip in the cement pond.

To top off the festivities we decided to make our own pizza.  Pizza Bagels are the best.  Who knew.  They were so yummy!  It’s definitely the way to go!  Now it’s time for a little rest but wow! what a weekend 🙂

p.s. Yes I know my grammar is atrocious.  It’s part of my charm 🙂

Happy 241st Birthday America!

On July 2, we visited the Keith House and Graeme Park.

Since the Declaration of Independence was actually made on July 2, 1776 it seemed like a good thing to do visiting a part of Colonial History 🙂

It was hot and humid but was worth the visit.  The Keith House housed both American and British troops during the War of Independence.  A lot of History passed the grounds of Graeme Park.

On July 4th I hung out with the Puppy and got our Patriotic look on!

Fireworks, bbq, family and friends…it was a great long weekend!

Jonas…Not the Brothers

So Jonas came into our lives on Friday evening and left his white fluff all off the place.

When faced with these types of natural shut ins I of course stuffed my face and binge watched Netflix.  Unlike this poor bloke.

Snow or no snow these guys are always at their posts.  This friend is what dedication looks like!

I dug out some space for the dogs to roam around.  Neither dog was happy with the snow.  It was wet and cold and lets face it…my dogs are princesses.

We dug out on Sunday and headed back to work on Monday.  It was a lot like that time I didn’t win the Powerball.

Paws for the Cause

This past weekend we did the Paws for the Cause walk for Fox Chase Cancer Center.  It was cold and windy but it was also fun.

Tara wore her Spock costume.  I really didn’t think she would keep the wig/ears on but she did the whole time.

She also interacted well with all of the other dogs.

I am so proud of my little Science Officer.  She was a really good sport!  I wonder what other costumes I have for Halloween!
