Wait What?!?

So it’s April and it’s still snowing.  Sure it’s not like January snow, or in this case, March Madness snow but seriously?!?

I’m kind of ready for this mess to be over.  So in that vein…it’s going to rain the rest of the week, LOL.  Oh, lucky me!!!

In other news….I totally scored an awesome Easter Basket from the Easter Bunny this year!  Yeah Me!!!

Toby…Ya Got Me!

Yesterday a nor’easter named Toby hit our little burg.  He wasn’t too bad.  Enough for a snow day at home but not so evil as to be extremely heavy wet snow.

I was giving my dramatic reaction to Hurricane Schwartz’s SNOMAGEDDON!!

We shoveled out last night about 9 pm.  It was still snowing but we wanted a fighting chance for the morning commute.  The car wasn’t too covered this morning.  It was about another 3/4″ to clear off.

Puppy was wondering where is this elusive Spring she kept hearing about.  She is not much of a lover of precipitation in general, lol.

We have some really neat homes near us.  This is one of my favorite to take pictures of in the seasons.  It is like a Thomas Kincaid painting when it snows.  We survived our 4th nor’easter this winter/spring.  Yay us!

Quinn Stopped By Yesterday

Nor’Easter Quinn stopped by and dropped 9″ of snow before leaving us.

We had the day off from work which was very nice.  Traveling was dangerous.  The Wife wasn’t as lucky so I was out on the road twice in the old 4-wheel drive.

Having the 4-Wheel Drive was most helpful.  Later in the day when the snow was at its zenith driving was tricky.  On the main road near our home had cars lined in a zig-zag patterns.  Stuck in the snow and that made it impassable by others that were not stuck.  We were lucky and took an alternate route.  Thankfully the amount of cars on the road was light.

Now we wait for a possible new Nor’Easter for Sunday/Monday.   I look at it like this…it’s winter, lol.

Winter’s Mean

We are finally getting a break from the Polar Vortex/Arctic Blast mess from the last two weeks.

Winter is cold but rarely this cold.  It was 5 degrees with a windchill of -7.  This is Pennsylvania…not Minnesota!

We had snow, ice and freezing rain.  I’m pretty sure we have hit every type of precipitation there is to out there.

We even were able to make artwork from the frost that grew on our storm door.  The truth is out there people!  It was so cold that we didn’t go out much at all.  The dogs hated it and so did we.

There was even a snow day.  In Adult that  just translates into work-from-home.  I tried to drive to work but the roads were very dangerous.  It just wasn’t worth it.  My boss thankfully called and said stay home as I was going back home, lol.

One good thing we did discover was the laundry room is long enough to play Cornhole.  It was nice to have an outdoor activity to do indoors, lol.  We had to move the snow shovels and boots but good time had by all!

Niko Stopped By

Nor’Easter Niko stopped by yesterday.  It is extremely cold still and Niko blew most of the snow into one big pile from the gale force winds he was providing.  All in all, it could have been far worse and even though I didn’t get a snow day I got out of work early.  So Yay me!

Tomorrow starts a small warm up.  Come on 47 degrees!!

Jonas…Not the Brothers

So Jonas came into our lives on Friday evening and left his white fluff all off the place.

When faced with these types of natural shut ins I of course stuffed my face and binge watched Netflix.  Unlike this poor bloke.

Snow or no snow these guys are always at their posts.  This friend is what dedication looks like!

I dug out some space for the dogs to roam around.  Neither dog was happy with the snow.  It was wet and cold and lets face it…my dogs are princesses.

We dug out on Sunday and headed back to work on Monday.  It was a lot like that time I didn’t win the Powerball.
